Departments and roles

Your business already has departments. Give each one a crew.

In TirelessCrew, departments hold roles and a crew member does each role’s job. Departments can have goals, and both departments and roles can have budgets, so you can see which part of the business is spending what.

$49 a month per organization billed yearly ($59 month to month), plus whatever your crew spends from the wallet you top up.

How it fits together

How the pieces fit

You don’t need an org chart to start. One department with one role works fine.

  • Departments

Group work the way you already think about it, like Sales or Support. A department can have its own goal, budget, documents and skills, and departments can sit inside each other up to five levels deep.

  • Roles

One job, such as answering support mail or writing the weekly report. Each role has a profile, a mailbox, knowledge, skills, autonomy settings and a budget.

  • Crew members

The AI worker doing a role’s job. It uses that role’s mailbox and documents, stays inside its budget, and asks you when a decision is needed.

Goals

Give each department a goal you can measure.

Tie a goal to a real number and a target, for example how fast inquiries get a reply. Progress comes from what the crew actually did.

Goals can sit inside goals, so a company-wide target breaks down into the part each department owns.

Budgets

Budgets that follow your structure.

Put a monthly budget on a whole department or on one role. A role falls under the nearest budget above it, and work passed between roles carries its own ceiling.

None of it can spend more than your wallet holds.

Handing work over

Roles pass work to each other.

When a role finishes its part, it can hand the next part to another role, along with a deadline, a definition of done and a spending cap. Once that work is accepted, the role that asked for it moves on to its next step by itself.

  • Work can be passed along up to five levels deep
  • Up to 20 files can travel with each handover
  • One revision, then it comes to you

Questions about organizations

Do I need a big organization to get value?

No. One department with one role is a perfectly good start. Add more when there’s more work to hand over.

Does the organization run without me?

It runs the work you’ve handed over, inside the budgets and permissions you’ve set. Anything you’ve kept for yourself waits in your Inbox.

Can roles in different departments work together?

Yes. Any role can pass work to any other, whichever department it’s in.

What does an organization cost?

$49 a month billed yearly, or $59 month to month, with no limit on team members. The crew’s work is paid from your wallet.
